It has been reported that the Cottagers have already an agreement with Andre after Fulham chief executive Alistair Mackintoshflew to Brazil for talks last week over a £30 million ($37m) move. Although the two clubs are in negotiations to bring down the price, it is believed that Fluminense might settle over £20m.

Andre starred in Fluminense's 2-0 win over Al Ahly of Egypt in the 2023 Fifa Club World Cup semi-final match on Monday and might face Manchester City in the final if Pep Guardiola's troops bear Urawa Reds in the last four on Tuesday evening.

"Over the last five years, Manchester City are the best team in the world and everyone in Brazil stops to watch them play. It will be an incredible experience to play in the Club World Cup Final against them if they get through to it," he said.

The title decider has been scheduled for Friday at King Abdullah Sports City.
