How to Get the Sly Cooper Mask in Ghost of Yotei

In order to get the Sly Cooper Mask, players must enter the Ishikari Plains and venture to the Ishikari Market. Here, they will find a Bounty Board. Players will need to accept and complete 3 Bounties in the Ishikari Plain region then speak with Korijo to get the “Shiro the Swindler” Bounty. Players must complete the Shiro the Swindler Bounty if they want to get the Sly Cooper Mask. After, players will need to find Shiro at the cliffs of Yokai’s Nest. We’ve detailed a full walkthrough of how to find Shiro the Swindler so you can get the Sly Cooper Mask:

Where to Find Shiro the Swindler in Ghost of Yotei

Head to the north region of Ishikari Plain, where you will pass the Rumoi River into Yokai’s Nest. Once you’ve reached this location, you’ll notice the large castle on the left. Continue heading up the pass and take a left before entering through the torri gate (we’ve outlined where to go on the map above). You’ll find an abandoned campsite, and to the right of the bamboo mat is some gunpowder that you can collect to then investigate what’s underneath to trigger a cutscene with a ronin. After this cutscene plays, Shiro the Swindler will appear, but it’s not as simple as a duel. Instead, players will need to work with him to rob the nearby castle and begin a new side mission: The Great Jigoku Gambit.

How to Complete Shiro the Swindler Bounty in Ghost of Yotei

Now that you’ve met Shiro, you can speak with him at his campsite to begin his mission. The mission itself is fairly simple, as he will take you to the castle where you will have to fight the raiders within. There’s no point attempting to stealth this mission, so feel free to massacre the fiends within and watch as Shiro uses a musket to aid you from the sidelines. After killing all the soldiers, you’ll come across an open gate on the left past the bridge, and you’ll have to parkour across to the back of the castle, where you’ll eventually find the money and a boss fight, Commander Kudo.

Commander Kudo is a pretty tough nut to crack, as he will change out different fighting styles during the duel, so simply watch for his attacks to know when you should dodge and parry. After his defeat, you will have completed the Shiro the Swindler quest, and you will instantly be rewarded with the Sly Thief Mask, which is a direct reference to Sucker Punch Productions’ iconic raccoon thief mascot, Sly Cooper. The mask itself has no special effects and is simply a cute cosmetic.
